After 20 years of marriage, Maria decides to leave the marital home. One night, she moved to room 212 of the hotel opposite from her place. From there, Maria has a bird's eye view of her apartment, her husband, her marriage. She wonders if she made the right decision. Many people in her life have an idea about this, and they intend to let her know.
Renowned screenwriter-director Christophe Honoré gives the ghosts of the former lovers of Maria an amusing voice, and even presents a much younger version of Richard. A refreshing and uncompromising look at love and marriage that will appeal to all film lovers who love sophisticated and imaginative romantic comedies.
