Cinéma Paradiso's opening night invites Montreal’s film and music lovers to a screening that stays true to the tradition of silent film to celebrate the 130th birthday of Charlie Chaplin.

Ouri, an electronic music producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist with training in piano, harp, and cello, will use her bold and confident sound to create a soundtrack to the film The Kid, transporting us back to the golden age of film concerts.

"I propose an acoustic and minimal formula. [...] A crisp sound; my goal is not to follow all the emotions dictated by Chaplin but to create a new emotional framework for the film."

- Ouri
