Kohlenstoff is a Montreal-based artists collective and a label. It featuring composers who explored the uncharted territories of unusual music. To date the label has already issued 30 albums by a dozen composers, principally living in Montreal, but also in various other countries – England, Poland, Argentina, Israel and the United States. Undoubting that the digital format is currently the most likely one to increase the visibility of its artists, Kohlenstoff Records mainly distributes its albums in this medium.
