For the 15th Nuit blanche à Montreal, the Phi Centre is splitting its cultural component in three to present CONTRASTES, a night when music (performed by Wolf + Lamb, The Fitness, Pony, and Husser), visual arts, and virtual reality come together to offer a variety of experiences.
Doors: 9 PM
The music environment will switch between funk, soul, and the contagious house style of Canadian-American collective Crew Love, which in recent years has made its mark in some of the world’s hippest clubs. Among the artists in the collective is Brooklyn duo Wolf + Lamb. Next, The Fitness, a rising star on Montreal’s deep house scene, will keep everyone on the dance floor along with Pony as MC. Montreal native Husser will also make an appearance. Rounding out the scene will be the futuristic visuals of VJ FVCKRENDER.
Designer collective Atelier New Regime will steer visitors towards sensory synergy with an installation that keeps pace with the ongoing musical performances while highlighting society’s obsession with personal, professional, and financial success. The designer trio’s captivating visual universe combined with their emphasis on freedom creates quite a buzz.
Once again this year, visitors will be able to give virtual reality a try on the second floor. The boutique, with unique finds including an exclusive piece from Atelier New Regime, will also be open.
