Self-described as working in the 'electro-pop dance-rock' realm, DEE is a fiercely original multi-instrumentalist who lives by the creative credo ‘do it yourself’.
In the early 90’s DEE was involved with the rock/metal band World Domination and then, in the second half of the decade, joined the electronic music collective The Urbanauts. The band released two albums including Stereo Tonic, which was met with overwhelming critical praise.
More recently, one might recognize his tracks from hit TV shows like Six Feet Under, Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty and Law and Order, or from television ads, including a spot aired by Ford during the Super Bowl.
Locally, Montrealer filmgoers will remember his songs from the film soundtrack to indie Québec film Horloge Biologique (Ricardo Trogi).
After a stint as musician-in-residence for Cirque du Soleil’s Le royaume de Tole (Kingdom of Tin), DEE returned to the studio to work on his latest album The Space Between Us, being launched on November 21 at the Phi Centre.
Presented by the Phi Centre and Dee Music as a part of the M for Montreal festival.
