For this performance, the artist Ohm Hourani in collaboration with Phi and the Canada Council for the Arts will be accompanied by the musicians who participated in the recording process.

The new album Jazz of the Machine is an infusion of knowledge and experience of electronic music and its instruments with an admiration of jazz.

It was produced in 3 steps:

Concept / Compositions
Ohm Hourani allows his modular synthesis to create unpredicted patterns and he experiments in wiring these modules to make it his own. These unique sounds are accompanied by rhythmic structure built using vintage and modern drum machines.

The recordings of the self-designed machine sounds provide a canvas for carefully chosen musicians to record their part. Each musician was guided by these recordings however giving them complete artistic freedom to contribute to the project.

Mixing / Finalizing
The fusion of the predicted and unpredicted patterns, the electronic parts and the recorded musicians and singers parts, brings a life to the musical compositions and completes the frequency spectrum of Jazz of The Machine.
