On January 24, 2013, Rad Hourani entered the inner circle of Parisian haute couture with the presentation of the first unisex show in fashion history, becoming the first Canadian to stand among the fashion greats. His collections are currently present in 130 shops and galleries in 30 countries around the world.

And this coming November 1, 2013, the Phi Centre will welcome him as guest curator of an event that will last all month long. At the request of Phoebe Greenberg, founder and curator of the Phi Centre, Rad Hourani will take us inside his seamless approach and his five years in unisex fashion, through his study of the human body, his patterns, his photography and his 20 collections.

In addition to scheduled events, the Phi Centre is a space where guest curators can express their vision and feature an artist or artists whose work they admire.

Rad Hourani was born in Jordan to a Jordanian father and a Syrian mother. At 16, he moved to Montreal to finish high school. Not long after graduating, he scouted for modelling agencies and soon became a stylist. In 2005, he decided to move to Paris where he sketched his very first unisex collection, and, in 2007, launched his eponymous brand at the age of 25. Soon after, he launched his ready-to-wear brand Rad by Rad Hourani in New York. In January 2013, Rad Hourani was invited by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris to present the first unisex haute couture collection in fashion history.
