For the third consecutive year, the Phi Centre and Venice Days are teaming up to present the event Venice Days. From March 21 to April 12, the series will showcase the best of this independent section of the Venice International Film Festival, the oldest film festival in the world.
For the occasion, Sylvain Auzou, Programmer and Deputy Director of Venice Days, collaborated with Danny Lennon, Film Commissioner of the Phi Centre, to select films from the Venice Days programming. Mr. Auzou will be on site for some of the events.
"There's a long story with Quebec films at Venice Days and this series can offer a good taste of what we're doing as part of the festival. Such as Cannes Quinzaine des réalisateurs, Venice Days is a competitive section of the Venice Film Festival which aims to provide a platform for films that are not too abstract, while being quality works that will satisfy the public" - Sylvain Auzou
