After a little break, we are back and it feels so good! Did you miss us? Because we definitely missed you. This week we decided to open up the doors of the Phi Centre and invite everyone to the first live public recording of Chosen Family, and it was magical. Having an audience with us added an extra special energy to the episode and we couldn’t be more excited to share this one with you.

With the Oscars fast approaching, we had to talk about our three favourite nominees: Lady Bird, I, Tonya, and Call Me by Your Name. Side note: Do you remember that weird performance of “When You’re Alone” from Hook at the 1992 Academy Awards ceremony? We both had it taped on VHS when we were kids. Looking back on it, it’s pretty creepy!

Our main guests this week join us from the hit Québécois web series, Féminin/Féminin, which just launched its second season. Chloé Robichaud is the show’s writer and director, and Alexa-Jeanne Dubé, actress and director in her own right, plays the role of Alex on the show. The conversation flew by, as it always does, but we managed to go deep on the subjects of queer media and the industry changes that are slowly taking shape.

This week we also have live performances by two brilliant performers: Ellie MacDonald provided the stand-up comedy and Awwful performed their song “Malibu,” off their debut EP, which you can (and need to) get. This is really one of our favourite episodes and we hope you enjoy it too!

Also, to celebrate Celine Dion’s upcoming 50th birthday, we are doing an all-new version of our hit live cabaret show, Sainte Celine! March 30 is sold out, there are only a few tickets left for the 29 and we’ve added an extra date on April 5. We’d love to see you there! Get your tickets!
