MEMORY Presents is a traveling short film series curated by MEMORY, with the goals of brining exciting, emerging filmmakers to new audiences. The 90-minute program will travel across major cities in North America and expose these cinematic achievements tastemakers and film lovers alike.

From narrative, documentary and animation to experimental and digital art, you will definitely appreciate the amalgam of short format films that will run throughout this event. Each filmmaker has a unique vision which showcase a unique approach to filmmaking and artistic expression. The Reflector Tapes “Porno”

Director Kahlil Joseph is an award winning music video director who’s well-known for his work alongside Flying Lotus, FKA Twigs and Shabazz Palaces amongst others.


Director Robert Eggers is an award winning director who is mostly known from his production design and theatre background. The film’s dark, cool tones reflect Eggers’ attention to detail, precise composition and minimalist approach to storytelling.


Director Pippa Bianco has a photography background at Yale. Share is about a 15-year-old girl going back to school after someone shares an explicit video of her on the Internet.

Too Cool For School

Director Kevin Philipps set this film in the 1990s, an era for a tale about an apathetic teenager preoccupied with thoughts of sex. Tonally sampling from Larry Clark as well as slasher films, this film examines a teen’s masculinity with a disturbing finale. +

A Violet Death

Director Isaiah Seret puts us in a visually striking revenge piece, starring an assassin whose boundaries and loyalty are tested, when hired to kill a former lover.


Director Carson Mell premieres his latest episode from the monologues of the Tarantula Hotel series. Echo Johnson describes his love for Hot Dogs and his deep history with beans.

Hang Loose

Director Sammy Harkham and Patrick Brice put together a short based on a night in the life of an aimless surfer, Wade, who cases his whims up and down the California coast.

The Audition

Director Celia Rowlson-Hall winks at the entertainment industry through this sly love letter. What starts as a seemingly ordinary audition, quickly escalates to an increasingly absurd, dark and incisive series of literal hoops to jump through.


Director Derek Branscombe, from Montreal, debuts Sediment; a haunting exploration fo time and space as it pertains to the underwater realm.
